Every summer Canon U.S.A. lends its support to the Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge on Long Island to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation. This event raises annually an estimated $250,000 to support the BEF in its work to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that effects more than 30,000 Americans including Boomer's son Gunnar. Thanks to research advocacy, education and financial support people with cystic fibrosis are living longer.
