Canon U.S.A., Inc. is a proud sponsor of a wide range of sports organizations, events and programs, including the Professional Golf Association (PGA), National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and U.S. Open Tennis. Through our sponsorships, Canon U.S.A., Inc. boosts awareness and builds excitement for events and tournaments in communities across the nation.
Canon U.S.A. is the Official Copier, Fax, Multi-Function Product, Printer, Scanner, Camera and Binocular of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour. Canon's technology, products and services are used by the PGA during tour events. For example, Canon copiers and facsimiles scan scores, statistics and photographs and distribute them via fax or e-mail to media around the world. Canon's film and digital cameras capture the action for use in magazines and newspapers. TV cameras use Canon's broadcast lenses with image stabilization technology to broadcast tournament play around the world.
Canon U.S.A. is proud to sponsor LPGA TOUR player Michelle McGann. A seven-time winner on the LPGA TOUR, she also participates in Canon4Kids, a program created by Canon U.S.A. that seeks to help locate missing children across America. In every tournament in which she plays, Ms. McGann places a photograph of a local missing child on her golf bag along with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) hotline number (1-800-THE-LOST). The photos are seen by millions of people who watch in person or on television. An additional component of Canon4Kids is tied to Ms. McGann's performance on the LPGA TOUR. Canon U.S.A. makes a donation to NCMEC for every birdie, eagle and hole-in-one registered by Michelle McGann during tournament play.
As a long time sponsor of the New York Yankees, Canon is the Official Copier, Printer and SLR Camera of the New York Yankees. The Canon name is pervasive throughout the stadium, including dominating Canon signage on the left field wall of the stadium, and behind home plate during the top of sixth inning play.
Canon print advertising can be seen throughout the stadium concourse, and Canon television commercials are included in the stadium's pre-game broadcasts on the DiamondVision screen.
As a component of the Canon4Kids program (part of Canon's collaboration with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children), Canon also sponsors the Yankees "Tag-A-Kid" program. Through this initiative, wristbands are offered to parents that identify their seating location; this assists security personnel in reuniting lost children with their parents.
A long time sponsor of the United States Open Tennis Championship,

Every summer, Canon U.S.A. sponsors the Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation, The Gunnar H. Esiason Scholarship Fund at Hofstra University, and New York area youth football. The event raises over $250,000 a year in support of BEF and its work to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis, a chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Although cystic fibrosis is not yet curable, the search for a cure has been greatly accelerated due to the discovery of the cystic fibrosis gene in 1989. Canon is a presenting sponsor of the event and a title sponsor of the post-game. For more information on the Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge, visit www.empirechallenge.com.
